http://macmost.com/ If you have a wireless network at home you should set up wireless security. It is as simple as setting a password through the Airport Utility application or the Web interface of your wireless router. This will not only prevent others from accessing your network and using your Internet connection, but it will also encrypt your data.

For safer listening use media player classic, winamp or openvcl. Windows media player and real media player are unsafe due to possibility of macro use inside mp3 files.
The most common viruses are trojans that try to steal personal information, and zombie botnets which spammers use to compromise network servers and send out spam email through them without the user knowing (eating cpu and network resources).

I have been using a netgear installed wireless router for 3 years and it has performed very well. I have just bought a laptop using a Belkin dongle. When I try and connect to the internet the laptop keeps flagging up a dialogue box asking for a network security key. What is it and where can I get it?
Well, if you are still using an old computer on that network you can run WirelessKeyView. If not, you may have to reset the router and make a new key. Your router should have a recessed (push with a paper clip type) button that you hold down for about ten seconds, which restores it to factory settings. You can then type into your browser’s address bar 192.168.1.1 and log into the router. (Default login on a netgear is Username:admin Password:Password.)
