The reason the comments are closed on this video is that most of the criticisms of what’s presented here have been addressed by the bruisingly thorough 7-hour How It All Ends video project, the discussion is happening over there. I spent months combing through literally tens of thousands of critical comments to find every single objection, criticism, “Yeah but,” and “You missed a spot” that I could to this video.

One of the worst …
One of the worst videos on the subject. Your hole in your idea is that you think if we spend trillions of dollars on reducing CO2 it will accomplish something.
You say that all the money spent on green jobs will be positive. Why would they be so perfect to do everything right? What if you build 5 million windmills and you end up destroying the migration and reproduction of many species.
You could end up killing of half the planet due to your arrogance. SO SHUT UP.

AGW is fundamentally a question of science. Modern spectroscopy, paleoclimatology, thermodynamics, and climate modelling are more than suggestive. Over appropriate time scales (thirty year increments) a very good understanding by climatologists is evident.
Which is pertinent.

That is the crux of this issue as I see it. I must differ with you on the question of consensus. It is possible to judge what is thought in the scientific community. One can survey the peer reviewed literature, and one can dirrectly poll those with relevant expertise. And this has been done.

The choice is not …
The choice is not fossil fuel energy versus no energy.
The choice, in my view, is business as usual versus lower and zero carbon energy technologies.
What is advocated by people such as myself is replacing conventional coal and other fossil fuel energy sorces, with nuclear, natural gas, wind, solar thermal, & hydro-electric energy. As well as massively increasing energy efficiency.
Pre-industrial world population was < 1 billion. Fossil fuels are finite. Think about it.
