  • Does lack of NERC SCADA security = cyberterrorism? Cybersecurity Act of 2009

Posted by admin on December 25th, 2009 and filed under network security | No Comments »

The Open SCADA Security Project is an initiative to create an open SCADA security community. It is dedicated to providing an open forum, enabling organizations to increase SCADA security. The project is open anybody who would like to contribute. The security recommendations are intended to be applicable to real world environments.
SCADA technology underpins automated chemical, broadcasting, rail, power, gas, water and oil plant systems. The security of these devices are essential for both safety and business continuity. Problems are often cross-industry and globally shared. This reality makes it imperative for practical and open resources to be available to those who are responsible for securing these infrastructures.

    Wireless Network Security

Posted by admin on December 5th, 2009 and filed under network security | 1 Comment »

In our Business and Communications Studies class, myself and some friends decide to make a small project on the dangers of having a wireless network openly in your house/school/workplace/anywhere.

It soon elevated into a short video with a starring role played by Michael. However his ’scene’ of gaiety is really only funny if you know him… Partially because at any given moment of time at school or home, he is laughed and joked at continually for his incompetence and funny traits.

Watch the movie and see what I’m on about. (You will know which one is Michael)

I didn’t realise till I watched it myself on YouTube that you cannot actually read the writing in the warning boxes as the quality has been toned down.
