PHOTOGRAPHERS! Boycott Simon Malls: They have a photo policy that attacks YOUR 1st Amendment Rights

Posted by admin on March 12th, 2010 and filed under security policy | 25 Comments »

PINEPOWERLI HAS GIVEN ME RIGHTS TO THS VIDEO. THIS IS NOT STOLEN! PinePowerLI has a great channel, PLEASE subscribe to him! http://www.youtube.com/pinepowerli
THIS is my opinion/experience: Simon properties is a mall management group that has some awesome malls, HOWEVER they have a very strict photography policy that is ILLEGALLY enforced, it is perfectly legal to have a “no pictures” policy, BUT when you have guards that attempt to take peoples cameras AND force them to delete their photos, THAT IS ILLEGAL!! and falls under destruction of private property. ALL THEY CAN LEGALLY DO is tell the photographer to stop taking photos or leave. I for one have been a victim of simon. I took this photo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHn2s4NON8w and after taking it, me and my friend were backed into the elevator by a security guard where he demanded me to delete my photos (i told him the camera didnt work) either way they broke 2 laws. ONE false imprisonment and TWO attempted destruction of private property. my photos were CLEARLY not a security threat!!! I encourage anybody who is a photographer to contact Simon Properties and let them know POLITELY how you feel about their policy AND of course don’t shop there until they can amend their policy. A good photography policy in a place like a mall is to prohibit tripods, flash photography or taking close up photos of people without their permission, In other words, non intrusive photography should not be dealt with.

HERE IS PINEPOWERLI’S description and opinions

Its already bad enough their malls are tacky and plastered in ads and commercials. But SIMON property group is much worse than that. I’ve had my experiences with them, like the time they told me to stop taking pictures of a thunderstorm from the Roosevelt Field parking deck.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo4SVrYYm8M

But a fellow elevator enthusiast had a much worse experience at the Shops in Riverside in Hackensack,NJ. They were harassed by security, even after they stopped taking pictures. You can read their full story on Flickr’s Photography is not a Crime group.
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/photography_is_not_a_crime/discuss/72157623064985494/

But it gets worse, folks wearing shirts protesting the war were arrested and ejected from the mall, because they refused to change their shirts. Like what happened to this 80 year old man at Smith Haven Mall.
    http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/80…

Apparently Simon thinks those that aren’t Obama fans shouldn’t be allowed to sell their T-Shirts.
    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2298254/posts

Some states and counties have laws that state malls are public places and any REASONABLE public behavior cannot be prohibited. SIMON often uses the PRIVATE PROPERTY excuse for enforcing such draconian rules. Well I urge you to spend your money elsewhere. These modern day Nazis in mall management need to be shut down, as well as their security company, Allied-Barton.
    Voice your outrage at SIMON!
    https://www.simon.com/about_simon/

And tell these wanna-be cops they have no official power.

The War Party — Zionism in NeoCon Foreign Policy (3/5)

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under security policy | 19 Comments »

Connecting Israeli Zionist influence on America’s Foreign Policy the BBC investigative journalism show Panorama aired The War Party on May 18th, 2003 right after the start of the Iraq War.

Key members of the Bush administration and the powerful American Enterprise Institute were part of a Israeli think tank called The Institute for Advanced Strategic & Political Studies (IASPS):

    http://www.israeleconomy.org/index.php

In a report done in 1996, before the formation of PNAC, which was called “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm” they listed Israeli goals and concerns:

    REMOVING SADDAM HUSSIEN:

“Israel can shape its strategic environment, in cooperation with Turkey and Jordan, by weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria. This effort can focus on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq — an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right”

    MIDDLE EAST STABILITY:

“Iraq’s future could affect the strategic balance in the Middle East profoundly, it would be understandable that Israel has an interest in supporting the Hashemites in their efforts to redefine Iraq,”

    CONTROL IRAQ, HELP ISRAEL:

“Were the Hashemites to control Iraq, they could use their influence over Najf to help Israel wean the south Lebanese Shia away from Hizballah, Iran, and Syria.”

    MANAGE AND CONSTRAIN US REACTION:

“To anticipate U.S. reactions and plan ways to manage and constrain those reactions, Prime Minister Netanyahu can formulate the policies and stress themes he favors in language familiar to the Americans by tapping into themes of American administrations during the Cold War which apply well to Israel.”

People interviewed or mentioned in this video that hold both USA and Israel citizenship and are Zionists:

    Richard Perle

One of Bush’s foreign policy advisors, he is the chairman of the Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board. Perle was expelled from Senator Henry Jackson’s office in the 1970’s after the National Security Agency (NSA) caught him passing Highly-Classified (National Security) documents to the Israeli Embassy. He later worked for the Israeli weapons firm, Soltam. Perle came from one the above mentioned pro-Israel think tanks, the AEI. Perle is one of the leading pro-Israeli fanatics leading this Iraq war mongering within the administration and now in the media.

His sister lives in Israel. Wolfowitz came from the above mentioned Jewish think tank, JINSA. Wolfowitz was the number two leader within the administration behind this Iraq war mongering. He later was appointed head of the World Bank but resigned under pressure from World Bank members over a scandal involving his misuse of power.

    David Frum

White House speechwriter behind the “Axis of Evil” label. He lumped together all the lies and accusations against Iraq for Bush to justify the war.

    John Bolton

Former UN Representative and Under-Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. Bolton is also a Senior Advisor to President Bush. Prior to this position, Bolton was Senior Vice President of the above mentioned pro-Israel think tank, AEI. In October 2002 he accused Syria of having a nuclear program, so that they can attack Syria after Iraq.

    Meyrav and David Wurmser

Special Assistant to John Bolton, the under-secretary for arms control and international security. Wurmser also worked at the AEI with Perle and Bolton. Ron Paul: America Is With Me On Foreign Policy (CNBC 2/2)

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under security policy | 25 Comments »

    http://www.RonPaul.com

In the second part of his appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box this morning, Ron Paul asserted that the world would be a lot safer if the US government didn’t start so many wars and continually tried to meddle in the affairs of other countries.

He explained that Iran poses no credible threat to America and that Obama’s policy of assassinating US citizens on secret charges demonstrates that something has gone terribly wrong with American foreign policy.

Ron Paul supports regaining US security through diplomatic and economic engagement backed by military deterrence instead of aggression, murder and perpetual warfare.

Ron Paul is America’s leading voice for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies.

John Stockwell on the American Power Structure

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under security policy | No Comments »

Howard Zinn (born August 24, 1922) is an American historian, political scientist, social critic, activist, playwright, and Democratic Socialist intellectual, best known as author of the bestseller A People’s History of the United States.

Zinn has been active in the movements for Civil Rights, Civil Liberties and the anti-war movements in the United States. He has written extensively on all three subjects.

The author of some 20 books, Zinn is Professor Emeritus in the Political Science Department at Boston University. He lives in the Auburndale neighborhood of Newton, Massachusetts. His late wife of 64 years, Roslyn Zinn, died on May 14, 2008 at their home. An artist and editor, Roslyn had a role in editing all of Zinn’s books and many of his articles. Zinn has two children, Myla and Jeff, and five grandchildren.

Patricia Nell Scott “Pat” Schroeder (born July 30, 1940), American politician, was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Colorado, serving from 1973 to 1997. She was the first woman elected to Congress from Colorado.

Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski (Polish: Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzeziński, pronounced [ˈzbiɡɲev bʐɛˈʑiɲski]; born March 28, 1928, Warsaw, Poland) is an American political scientist, geostrategist, and statesman who served as United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981. Known for his hawkish foreign policy at a time when the Democratic Party was increasingly dovish, he is a foreign policy “realist” and considered by some to be the Democrats’ response to Republican Henry Kissinger.

Major foreign policy events during his term of office included the normalization of relations with the People’s Republic of China (and the severing of ties with the Republic of China), the signing of the second Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT II), the brokering of the Camp David Accords, the transition of Iran from an important US client state to an anti-Western Islamic Republic, encouraging dissidents in Eastern Europe and emphasizing certain human rights in order to undermine the influence of the Soviet Union, the arming of the mujahideen in Afghanistan to fight against the Soviet-allied Afghan government to increase the probability of Soviet invasion and later entanglement in a Vietnam-style war, and later to counter the Soviet invasion, and the signing of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties relinquishing overt US control of the Panama Canal after 1999.

He is currently professor of American foreign policy at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, a scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and a member of various boards and councils. He appears frequently as an expert on the PBS program The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.

Military-industrial complex (MIC) is a concept commonly used to refer to policy relationships between governments, national armed forces, and industrial support they obtain from the commercial sector in political approval for research, development, production, use, and support for military training, weapons, equipment, and facilities within the national defense and security policy. It is a type of iron triangle.

The term is most often played in reference to the military of the United States, where it gained popularity after its use in the farewell address speech of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, though the term is applicable to any country with a similarly developed infrastructure. It is sometimes used more broadly to include the entire network of contracts and flows of money and resources among individuals as well as institutions of the defense contractors, The Pentagon, and the Congress and Executive branch. This sector is intrinsically prone to principal-agent problem, moral hazard, and rent seeking. Cases of political corruption have also surfaced with regularity. A similar thesis was originally expressed by Daniel Guérin, in his 1936 book Fascism and Big Business, about the fascist government support to heavy industry. It can be defined as, an informal and changing coalition of groups with vested psychological, moral, and material interests in the continuous development and maintenance of high levels of weaponry, in preservation of colonial markets and in military-strategic conceptions of internal affairs.

Ron Paul Foreign Policy Speech 9/30/09

Posted by admin on February 22nd, 2010 and filed under security policy | 25 Comments »

    http://www.house.gov/paul
    http://CampaignForLiberty.com

Dr. Paul opposes the Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act of 2009, HR 3462:

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3642:

    Text of speech:

I thank the gentlelady for yielding.

Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to this bill. Sometimes I wonder how we can, with a straight face, bring a bill up like this with the conditions of this country, especially financially. I oppose this bill for two reasons. One, we don’t have the money. That would be a pretty good reason not to support it. And the other reason is I do not believe it’s in our national security interests. I know this is being promoted as benefiting our national security, but I do not believe it helps us one bit. This bill was essentially voted on in June, and the vote was 234-185, which means that it is assumed at least 56 or more individuals in the Congress have switched their votes.

Now they say they have tinkered with the bill and changed it a little bit, but it’s an authorization that could be $15 billion. So it hasn’t had that much of a change. But today it is expected that these individuals will change and vote for this bill not really asking the questions.

Now, the bill is defined as fortifying democratic institutions. That is a good goal. But it never, never works. We are in 130 countries, we have 700 bases around the world, and we pursue this, and we are bankrupting our country by trying to maintain this empire. I have often made the point that the way we treat our fellow countries around the world is we tell them what to do, and if they do it we give them money. If they don’t do it, we bomb them. Under this condition, we are doing both. We are currently dropping bombs in Pakistan. The CIA is dropping bombs, and innocent people get killed.

If you want to promote our good values and our democratic process, you can’t antagonize the people by literally killing people over there, because if bombs were falling on this country, we wouldn’t be all that happy with that. So this does not improve our conditions whatsoever.

I would suggest another proposal for our foreign policy, not using bombs and bribes, but what about neither one? What about just talking to people? What about reducing tariffs? What about trading with them? Instead, it is this form of foreign policy that will not serve our interests.

    Global Peace and Security

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2010 and filed under security policy | 2 Comments »

While the current situation in Iraq is the most visible foreign policy failure that we currently face, it is only a symptom of an underlying foreign policy sickness. Instead of impulsively forcing military solutions on every foreign policy problem we encounter, we need to reorient America towards fostering global peace and security by strengthening diplomacy, increasing international development aid and addressing the root causes of terrorism and instability.
